There was once a time when hypnotism was not really given the respect it deserves. Thought to be a cheap trick performed by some sleigh of the hand, the true value of this science is coming to be known only today.

Shedding its unwanted past glamour, hypnotism is now rapidly emerging as a perfect alternative treatment that can be used for healing and curing even certain rare conditions which do not respond to any other kind of treatment. The spectrum of hypnosis includes anything psychosomatic to actual physical disorders.

The root cause of any disease is the mind. Anything and everything negative that we experience actually sprouts out from the mind. Hence, if the mind is cured of its pain, the body responds accordingly and heals itself automatically.

Hypnotism is used today even for events like painless childbirth, surgery and so on. Why, this technique has also been employed effectively in the case of alcoholics and chain-smokers, who have succeeded in giving up their habits post a few hypnotherapy sessions.

Of course, there are also other very effective methods such as psychotherapy and cognitive behavior therapy, but hypnosis is slowly and steadily moving forward and is now considered to have the potential enough to become the most powerful source of wellness.

How exactly does hypnosis work?

There are critics of hypnosis who claim that this technique is only a method of relaxing and calming the mind and nothing else. But those who actually practice this wonderful science say there is much more to it. Hypnosis is no more viewed as something that puts the subject completely to sleep, with him surrendering his entire being at the mercy of the hypnotherapist.

Hypnosis, on the other hand, helps the subject relax completely, letting go of the negativity that binds him. It actually creates a heightened state of mind, so that the subject becomes more receptive to positive suggestions, thereby, responding better and quicker to treatment.

Scientists are yet trying to fully understand how exactly the modification in the mind brings about such a remarkable change in the body. They aver that it is probably the deep focused state of mind that helps the subject recover so soon from his ailment or addiction. For instance, a chain smoker who receives suggestions that he will feel like quitting smoking very soon, actually develops a distaste for the very thing he craved for a few weeks ago, and completely turns over a new leaf. Scientists say that the change might be taking place because the seed of thought is sown deep into the very psyche of the individual and not merely suggested at the surface level.

There are many among us who have a tremendous phobia of dentists. Even the mere thought of the dentist’s drill can get our stomachs churning! While it is quite normal and natural to feel a bit apprehensive, there are people who take it to the extreme. Such subjects are known to have found great relief with a few hypnotherapy sessions.

Hypnotherapy is known to provide relief in conditions such as angina (pain in the chest), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), snoring, shortness of breath, asthma and even cystic fibrosis. What is more, this technique has even been found useful for quicker healing of wounds, reduction in joint pains and so on.

In conclusion, hypnotism can be put to a variety of uses and can help a whole lot of people who have had to suffer varied symptoms for many years. This is nothing sinister of evil as projected by the media some years ago. Quite on the contrary, it can give you a sense of extreme peace, security and well-being.

If you are the victim of some condition that simply refuses to let go of you, do try out hypnotherapy. It might end up working out like nothing else!

You must be wondering what kind of a topic this must be. How could words probably affect your life and living, right? Wrong! You would be amazed if you know exactly what kind of impact the words you choose to speak can have on your life as a whole. Read on to know more…..

The word, ‘try’

Let us take the word, ‘TRY’, for instance. Have you ever known someone who actually DOES something when they say they would try? This ‘trying to do something’ in itself is a minor deception in a way!

Someone who says they would try to drop in at your party never actually do. Likewise, one who promises to try to return your call on time mostly never will! Someone who has promised to try to lose weight or kick some addictive habit is only lying to himself. He will most probably never get to doing it. Hence, you either do something or you do not – there can never be anything like ‘trying’ to do!

So how do we get rid of this devil who ‘tries’ his best to ruin our lives? How do we stop cheating ourselves and get going with our lives to experience that success we so deserve?

The very first step we can take towards eliminating the problem forever is to become aware of how often we are using it. Very often, we do not even realize how we are going about preparing to cheat our own selves! Once we acknowledge the fault, we will automatically go ahead to deal with it effectively.

The word, ‘should’

The other little evil devil is the word, ‘should’. We quite often think of what we ‘should’ be doing, but again, never really get to doing it. For instance, we may state that we ‘should’ be starting studying for the exams soon. But instead of actually starting studies right away, we usually use this ‘should’ as a method to avoid starting our studies on time.

Now how do you get out of this one? Just like in the previous case, you first have to acknowledge the existence of the problem. You would do very to replace the word ‘should’ by something a lot more proactive, like ‘need to’. That itself will create a sense of urgency in your mind, to undertake that particular task.

The word, ‘cannot’

The word, ‘cannot’ is yet another one of those in your everyday vocabulary that has the potential to give you a tremendous amount of trouble! This word, ‘cannot’, immediately gives your subconscious the feel of failure. This again, actually translates into action and ends up going against you.

If you find yourself using the word, ‘cannot’, too often, do not worry. Every problem has a solution, so does this one. Maybe you could start using the statement, ‘will not’, instead. That is definitely not so negative, so you would be giving your subconscious the impression that you are not doing something because you merely do not want to do it, not because you cannot do it.

The other advantage of using ‘will not’ is that you can always easily shift to ‘will’ whenever you feel you are fit to handle the issue.

Conclusion

The above analysis shows us how important words are in our lives and how appropriate usage of the same can change our lives for the better. Hypnotherapy can play a vital role in molding your thought patterns, thereby making a happier and more successful person of you!

Do you often doubt yourself on your own abilities? Many of us do not experience the real success we deserve, only because we do not truly believe that we indeed CAN! There is unlimited power and strength lying dormant within us. All we have to do is awaken that power and strength and lo! We would soon be absolutely unstoppable in our respective spheres of life!

Now how do we go about bringing out that kind of energy from within us? The answer is pretty much simple. We have to start developing the power of our subconscious mind. We are practically capable of changing our own world with the power of thought – we only need to re-program our thought process and set right our mind.

Up until now, your subconscious has faithfully stood by you and followed all orders you gave to it. Believe it or not – your life circumstances as of the present are brought about entirely by that part of your mind. Further, this impervious aspect of you will be there with you till the end of your very life!

In order to gain control of this subconscious, you have to first understand that it has all the true power and strength, but sadly lacks the creative imagination, the direction that is required to move it forward. So it holds the entire blueprint of your success, but in the final analysis, YOU alone are responsible for steering it in the right direction.

There is an old adage which says, “Thinking is being” and that is so true, because you INDEED ARE what you think you are! If you think negative, then negativity is what you ultimately get from the universe. This is because the whole universe is a perfect balance of negative and positive vibrations. If you feel negatively about something, your subconscious immediately reflects it to the external universe. The micro is reflected in the macro and so you receive the negativity you give out.

On the contrary, if you endeavor to think positive all the time, your subconscious is projecting positive vibes to the outside world, which means, you also receive positive experiences in life.

All of us have an extremely powerful subconscious. It is just that some of us get so discouraged by our negative experiences that we just tend to resign to fate, thinking that a life of comprise is all we deserve. So we learn to live with a dissatisfying job, poor salary and so on.

Negativity is like Satan, just waiting to get you in his grasp. No matter how hard you try to remain cheerful, he would be right there, patiently working out some strategy to get you down. But fear not if the tide turns against you temporarily. Just focus on keeping your chin above the water and swim on ahead in the knowledge that all would be set right soon.

Remember, what you want to be is really all in YOUR hands. If you merely learn to think right, you will see your life transforming the right way for you. You then will get to experience the best events in your life – happiness, peace, prosperity, good health, great relationships, love and much more.

How hypnotism can help your subconscious mind

Is it actually possible to awaken the subconscious mind with hypnosis? The answer is, yes. No matter how much negativity a person has accumulated over the past many years, it is indeed possible to set it right with the help of a Certified Hypnotherapist.

A lot of people have experienced a great amount of good in their lives after having resorted to the method hypnotism. Since this technique delves deep into the subconscious, it can easily find out the root cause of the problem and set about rectifying within just a few seconds. Some, who had tremendous self-doubt, learnt to believe in themselves, thus experiencing a constant shower of success in their lives. Yet others, who had crippling phobias, learnt to grow beyond them, rid themselves of the fear and lead completely happy, normal lives again. Hypnotism can also help calm a restless, hyperactive mind, which otherwise causes a tirade of problems in its victim.

Are you frustrated with far too many things going wrong in your life? Would you like to experience the sweet taste of the success you truly deserve in every aspect of your life? Turn toward Hypnosis and you will never have to look back and rue anything ever again!

Hypnosis is known for its quality of helping people get over their negative behavior patterns and learn to think and act positively instead. There are hundreds of sufferers who tried in vain to grapple with some problem, who actually report tremendous improvement, even healing, thanks to regular sessions with their hypnotherapist. Hypnosis works to reverse many inhibiting tendencies in a person’s psyche, thereby releasing him from mental or physical trauma of some kind.

In this article, we look at how hypnosis can help with the most common condition of procrastination. Procrastination happens when one constantly keeps deferring his actions or duties to a later date. While there are times when we have to postpone some activities for later, taking this tendency to the extreme can end up being highly counterproductive to our entire life.

Hypnotherapy tries to deal with the procrastination issue using the following method:

1. Bringing the problem to the patient’s notice

This nasty problem is sometimes so deep-rooted in the patient’s subconscious that it has to be literally dug out of his mind! We humans function largely on the pain/pleasure phenomenon. We very readily do a thing when we derive great pleasure out of it. But the minute we find a thing painful in some way, we start trying to avoid the activity altogether. In this case, the procrastination happens because the person in question finds that particular activity painful or even downright boring!

Here, the hypnotherapist brings to his patient’s notice the real reason behind his avoidance, behind the procrastination. This awareness itself helps him more than half the way.

2. Creating a plan to ring in change

Once the root reason has been found, the next step is to bring about a change in the person himself. The idea is to get him see the job as pleasurable and not the other way round, so that he would more willingly go toward its completion.

Here, the hypnotherapist would probably ask him to change his lifestyle or functioning. For instance, if the participant disliked a particular chore, he would be asked to take more breaks in between, so as to make it less tedious. Also, he could reward himself each time he successfully fulfill a deadline. In that way, he would sail through the journey in the hope of reaching its end more quickly.

3. Giving positive suggestions

People very often think that hypnosis involves putting someone into this deep, unending trance, where the participant becomes a mere puppet in the hands of some evil, conniving hypnotist!

In truth, though, hypnotherapy helps the participant shed the inhibitions his subconscious mind created for him and becomes more flexible to positive suggestions and affirmations. In hypnosis, the person is normally consciously aware, though he is transported to a lighter state of mind, very similar to the initial stages of sleep.

The hypnotherapist first guides him to this state by suggesting certain bodily changes to him, such as eyelids growing heavy, breathing more deeply and so on. Once the participant starts to doze off, the therapist starts to verbally suggest positive affirmations to him. He then asks him to visualize how great he would feel going back to the chore and how pleasurable the entire experience would be from now on. This suggestion is given with the intention of bringing about the desired change in the person concerned.

4. Testing final results

The last step of the process is to evaluate the rate of change in the individual. Once the subject responds positively, the technique is reinforced so as to make the new habit come automatically to him. This technique of alternate healing can now help him to get over his habit of procrastination in all walks of life, thereby helping him get more efficient, organized and, ultimately, successful in all his ventures!
